Tap two tiles that show the same suit and number. They clear only if you can join them with a path that turns at most twice — straight, one bend, or two bends, around the outer edges or through empty space. Clear the whole board before the timer runs out.
Tileborne Connect is played with the real 152-tile American set: dots, bams and craks in one through nine, four winds, three dragons, eight flowers and eight jokers. Two tiles match when they share the same suit and number. All eight flowers match each other, and a joker is wild — it matches the tile you pair it with, the same way players treat the American set's jokers at the table.
Play on your own, or choose two to four seats and pass one device around. Every other player's board stays face down until it is their turn, so nobody can read another rack. Each seat gets a fresh board at the same level, and the winner is the seat that clears the most tiles with the fewest mislinks.
There are eight levels of rising difficulty, from a small six-by-four board to a crowded twelve-by-eight table. A fresh board is dealt every round, so no two games play the same. When the board has no legal link left but tiles remain, the remaining tiles reshuffle so you are never stuck.
Tileborne Connect is an independent game. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the National Mah Jongg League (NMJL) or any other mahjong product. The current official NMJL card is the final authority on every rule.
